As a Southern boy from Jonesboro, Arkansas, Marcus Whybrew began singing in churches at age three as intermission entertainment for a gospel group and hasn’t stopped since. When he received his first guitar as a gift from his grandparents it inspired him to begin writing and playing original songs. From singing the national anthem for the Memphis Redbirds and placing 2nd in the Texaco County Showdown to winning vocal competitions all over Arkansas, Marcus has secured his future in the music scene. After 7 years in Music City, he now has a platform to host other up and coming artists on Sunday’s in downtown Nashville called “Puckett’s Sunday Showcase”.
Influenced by the classic sounds of Johnny Cash to the more contemporary vibe of Chris Young, Marcus has developed a sound that is truly unique and refreshing. Marcus is a true entertainer who continues to electrify crowds in Arkansas and Tennessee with his distinctive and exciting stage presence. His surprising vocal range will captivate listeners and have them coming back for more. Check out his songs on iTunes and Spotify.
