Cottonmouth Creek is a high-energy band that plays everything from traditional bluegrass, to “newgrass,” to Americana and vintage country favorites. They also specialize in taking songs from other genres and “grassing them up” to appeal to a broader audience. Their instrumentation includes guitar, banjo, mandolin, and bass; the mandolin player also switches to dobro when appropriate to the song. Three-part harmony also plays an important role in the show. They play everything from city festivals to wedding receptions to taprooms, and all things in between. Depending on the needs/requirements of the venue, they can be highly interactive with the audience, or be more of a “background” type of entertainment.
