Live at Puckett’s Hitmakers Series with Steve Williams and Mike Loudermilk $12. 3.23.19

March 23 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm

$12
Steve Williams’ songs are featured on 3 gold records. “Where Have I Been All My Life” recorded by George Strait has been heralded as one of the most poignant songs of Strait’s career and is featured on “Twang” (2009 release). “Redneck Yacht Club” (recorded by Craig Morgan), went to #1 in 2005 and became one of the most downloaded songs of the year. ASCAP called it “The summer song of the year.” It’s popularity spawned several businesses and the official website RedneckYachtClub.com. Buddy Jewell’s debut album also went gold and features Williams’ song, “O’Reilly Luck”. His Grammy nominated song, “I Get To” (Oak Ridge Boys 2012) flew to #1 on the Christian Music Charts years earlier for Blue County and has been recorded by several artists, including Jeff & Sherrie Easter. And on the opposite side of the songwriting spectrum, “I Didn’t”, recorded by Trick Pony, Kristin Chenoweth and numerous others, is a hilarious look into a dysfunctional relationship. “A Fathers Love (the Only Way He Knew How)”, recorded by Bucky Covington, received rave reviews from country radio. And when recorded by Canadian artists High Valley a short time later, it was awarded “Song & Video of the Year” at the 2011 GMA Awards. The Oak Ridge Boys, released “What’cha Gonna Do” in 2011 as a single (It’s only Natural album) and the video is a popular hit on YouTube.com.  As a performer, Steve has worked with Kenny Chesney, Tanya Tucker. Mike Loudermilk has been making music most of his life. He started his musical career when his first song, an instrumental, was recorded by guitar legend Chet Atkins, who invited him to Nashville to play on the session.
Atkins offered then to sponsor him in Nashville, but approved of Mike’s decision to return to Louisiana and finish his education in music theory and guitar.
Mike made his way back to Nashville where he began playing music full time. He has toured, recorded, and/or written songs with artists from John Schneider to Crystal Gayle, and from Tracy Lawrence to Clarence
“Gatemouth” Brown. As an artist, he has recorded several albums internationally…including a duet record, “Wildwood Flower,” with bluegrass fiddle legend Buddy Spicher.
He has performed on numerous television shows and specials and has played on world stages from the London Palladium to the Crazy Horse Saloon, and from the casinos of Las Vegas to the White House. Mike worked with Crystal Gayle for many years and co-produced Crystal’s “Midnight In The Desert,” a song they wrote for the international radio talk show “Coast to Coast AM.” The song also won a NAMA (Native American Music Award) for “Song of the Year” in 2002. He is now concentrating on songwriting and producing at his studio “Nashville Sound Project House.” There he has recorded, co-written, and arranged songs with some of Nashville’s biggest hit songwriters.
Mike has also performed at fund raisers for Aids and Cancer Research, National MS Society, and St. Jude Children Hospital (to name a few) along side of country music’s most talented singer/songwriters. Endorsements with Taylor guitars, Elixir Guitar Strings, Fishman Transducers, Bill Lawrence, and KJL Amplifiers point to his reputation as a “musician’s musician,” both onstage and through recording projects.
