Originally from Holladay, Tennessee, Franklin resident Doc Holladay has been voted among the top three singer/songwriters in Nashville 4 years running in the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Nashville Scene “Best Of Nashville” readers poll, and has become one of the most in-demand talents around, while also managing to work as a full time Optometrist. While primarily an Americana and Country writer, he can also be found working, playing and writing with pop stars such as “Tiffany”,Southern Rock icon Jimmie Van Zant, and even with members of legendary rock groups such as Cinderella, Warrant, Tesla, The Babys, and other top acts and producers all around the world. Doc has had over 30 song cuts over the last 3 years in the U.S., Sweden, Canada, Australia, and Ireland. Doc’s latest cuts include “Indian Summer” featured in the Hallmark movie “Love, Of Course”, “Practice Makes Perfect” recorded by platinum selling pop supergroup “The Moffatts”, a #1 hit in Sweden with “Small Town Marilyn Monroe” recorded by Warner artist, Chris Lindberg, and “I Get Back Up,” recorded by Australian artist Christie Lamb on ABC Records. Doc has shared the stage with acts such as Brad Paisley, Pam Tillis, Jimmie Van Zant, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Trick Pony, Charlie Daniels, Nickle Creek, Tiffany, Sweethearts of The Rodeo, Tim McGraw, and Buddy Jewell. Personally, Doc has been drug and alcohol free since 2007, and has overcome many obstacles and addictions. He shares his music and recovery experiences at numerous drug and alcohol treatment centers, retreats and conventions with the goal of sharing the message of recovery, hope, and the mantra “miracles happen, and redemption is always possible!”
