Runaway Home is an Americana group entwining new-grass, country and folk styles in their music. Lately, the local group has had some very noteworthy performances, in particular, The Ryman Auditorium. The group continues to play The Bluebird Café, The World Famous Station Inn, WSM Radio, World Music Nashville, Blue Plate Special and so many other venues as well as many other venues, festivals, and fairs throughout the country. Runaway Home’s music is original, fresh, exciting and very well executed. Mark Elliott and Gary Culley are both singer-songwriters, sing lead and harmony vocals, guitar, mandolin and both have major cuts with Chris LeDoux, Neal McCoy, bluegrass group, Continental Divide, and more. Both are winners of the Kerrville Singer-Songwriter Folk Award and headlined Savannah Folk Festival, Kutztown Folk Festival, Sellersville Theater, Cadyville Opera House, Adirondack Folk Music Festival (Schroon Lake, NY) and Washington Parish Free Fair (LA). Mark Elliott is a protégé of Tom Paxton and a finalist at Falcon Ridge (NY). Gary has opened up for legendary Country and Americana artists Emmy Lou Harris, Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Buddy Miller and Sam Bush.
